How to create a winning blog for your business ?
I have seen many blogs write about how to use a Wordpress and how to get better traffic. It is not about what tools you use like: how to use Wordpress or Weebly to create your blog, it is not about search engine optimisation, nor is it about the computer skills required to build up your blog.
I believe if you decide to start a blog, you will find the skills or techniques you need and you will get better.
The Big Picture you want people see
What's more important is the big picture. Your blog will work if what you do can make the world better. It serves a purpose to the world. People will be naturally attracted something they find good ( quote from: science of getting rich)
That's my purpose, what's yours?
As for my blog, I want to help people who have a relationship problem like I do, I want them to listen to their inner voice. The reason why their relationship is bad, ( and I can bet it isn't a single relationship, if one relationship is problematic, it usually means all other relationships, too). It's because they do not understand themselves. And anyone who could not understand themselves can never understand others. I want to tell them my experience and how did I get better.
Empathy is the key word to all working relationships - it's about recognising other people feeling. You can only understand how others feel by knowing how you feel yourself ( I recommend: I never knew I had a choice)
Why I figure out I wanna do this?
It is because there are so many marriages breaking down and I was one of them. I witnessed my own improvement and you will be my witness here in my blog. I will be 100 % true to you. I disclose everything and hide no secrets.
Another thing of writing about my life is I'm sure my content will never run out as it is my daily experience. I tried UK property investments and travel to Taiwan blog that didn't work because I can't do that day in and day out.
Step by step guide to Successful Blog Creation
I like to show you the steps developing your blog that's never written in any other blog I read before:
Step 1 - Relate your content to your daily life
To be able to write every day, it has to be your daily life, something you get in touch everyday or your blog will run out of content. Some questions you can ask yourself:
Step 2 - study your friends (people called competitor)
I think competitor is a bad term that regards others doing the same thing as you are, they are automatically competing with you. It puts you into a wrong perspective in how you see things because I don't think having a similar interest are competitors? Shouldn't we get along with others who has the same interest? Would you regard someone who share with you what they know your competitor? I won't
I like to show you how could you change your perspective a little
After my careful evaluation, I would rather have a friend than a competitor.
I assumed now you have decided on a topic you like to write about...after you have identified your friend, you can do the following:
1. How can you make your content in a way that hasn't been done by others? Just imagine yourself as a consumer. You have a more experienced blogger providing you the same info 5 years ahead of you. What would you choose?
2. Can you add in a different angle to your content? I give you an example of a travel blog in different angle:
Step 3 - find a imaginary mentor
Pay attention to yourself on blogs that keep you reading. Have you gone back to have a second look or multiple looks? it must be very well written so it captivated you. Study the the structure of the website; study how you find it from the start, was it search? was it youtube link? what was it?
Learn the way they drive traffic. Pay special attention if the content makes your heart beats faster or even makes you cry.
I was so motivated by Tim Ferris four hour work week, I couldn't sleep that night and start implementing his suggestions. make them your imaginary mentor.
The only way to get better is through learning from those who have done it!
Here are a list of my mentors who taught me important concepts:
Robert Kiyosaki, Rich dad poor dad - pay yourself first, delay gratification
John Wattle, Science of getting rich - Gratitude, Create and not compete, Impression of increase.
John Jantsch, Duct tape marketing - How to generate referrals with online marketing?
Tim Ferris, Four hour work week - The ultimate guide to quitting your job and work 4 hour per week
Tony Robbins, Personal Power - Eliminate negative thoughts inside your brain - I m good when I m committed to take action
George Samuel Clason, The richest man in Babylon - The rules to accumulate wealth
Rhonda Byrne, The secret law of attraction - What you think will attract, guard your thoughts

Step 4 - Keep a simple blog
Don't worry about creating a fancy blog. Basically I think people are here to read about your content...meaning simple words and pictures, that's it. My whole blog is created using Weebly that's it.
And there is a function they help you to build headline on your photo. I think it is good enough. I don't even know wordpress.
I can prove to you that content is important and design is only a nice-to-have.
I have created a very ugly video in the past and it reached 600,000 views and 30,000 subscribers. People are here for useful & interesting contents and not for art piece .
Here is my YouTube channel:
This is my ugly YouTube video:
This was the software called wondershare I use for my first video editing.
I just use the free version and I didn't even remove the watermark
Your homepage should be like a catalog or a table of content. It should allow readers to know what you are about.
You might want to put everything on the menu bar. Please don't, just keep a couple of standard ones are good enough like about, blog, shop, contact.
To keep readers engaged, and allow them to navigate easily within your site, you should try to highlight keywords that link back to specific page on that keyword.
You could also link them to a specific facebook post or introduce them to your facebook fanspage.
Indexing/ tagging your blog in an organised manner can help reader stay longer and lead them to the material they are looking for.
Step 5 - Start now & celebrate every small success
Months pass-by and your blog might not drive any traffic. Don't give up. I worked on my site for 4 months, I wrote 32 blog post and I recorded 100 people coming to my site and here you are! You found me!
After 4 months, I received a phone enquiry. I also consider that as a success.
Everyday I keep going by celebrating every successes, big or small. I list out 10 small things I achieve during the day and check them off 1 by 1. It will make you feel accomplished.
And one thing I remind myself everyday, I remind myself 1 blog at a time. Sometimes, I can't finish the whole blog within that day. I still consider it as successful because I kept going. So I put a check mark on the item.
In Side Hustle, (a book) that encourages people to work on a side business while having a full time job. Do 1 thing to increase your income. You don't need to do much. 1 thing everyday, a year is 365 things you done. Never give up! So do I. See you tomorrow!
